IAC: From Milan to Sydney

While awaiting the IAC, we participated in an initial meeting in Sydney as representatives of the Emilia-Romagna Region and ANSER – AeroNautics and Space

On February 25, 2025, we participated in a bilateral meeting that brought together public institutions, businesses, and facilitators at Cicada Innovations, Australia's leading deep tech incubator. With over 25 years of experience, it stands out for its support of startups addressing global challenges and developing cutting-edge technologies.

The occasion celebrated the handover between Milan and Sydney, the host cities for the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), scheduled for 2024 and 2025, respectively. The event was opened by the Minister of State for Industry, along with the Italian Ambassador to Canberra, Paolo Crudele, both of whom highlighted the pivotal role of the aerospace sector in strengthening bilateral relations.

A heartfelt thanks to the Italian Embassy in Australia and Marco Lazzarino for the organization and for including us among the invitees, comprised of prominent entities and key figures from Australian and Italian institutions. Thanks also to Anilkumar Dave and Gabriele Bandini of Blacks Srl, as well as to all the other companies and organizations that participated through remote channels. It was a valuable opportunity to deepen our understanding of the Australian landscape, rich in innovation and advanced technologies in the aerospace sector.

For now, it’s a goodbye from Sydney, and we look forward to seeing you again at this year’s IAC!
