‘Get Ready for Japan’ aims to help you understand Japanese business practices and communication styles and identify opportunities for successful business partnerships. In addition, the programme aims to provide insights into the decision-making process within Japanese companies and to better understand their negotiation style and hierarchy.
The programme consisted of two phases:
The first took place from 19 to 23 May 2025, with the participation of Alessandro Fanni together with the delegation of the Emilia-Romagna Region, as reported in the article https://www.cshark.it/article/missione-aerospazio-giappone-it
The second stage consisted of an on-site programme in Tokyo, held from 9 to 13 June 2025. During this stage, the participating SMEs had the opportunity to participate in interactive seminars and workshops and to schedule individual business meetings with Japanese companies of their interest. The EU-Japan Centre's team and interpreters supported these KICs, enabling the SMEs to explore both established and new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
On this occasion, Franco Maria Di Russo, Head of Research and Development, and Filippo Papamarenghi, Director of Strategy and Sales, deepened their interactions with three leading companies: Panasonic, a leading multinational electronics company, renowned for the development of sophisticated technological solutions that can also be applied in the aerospace field; JAOPS, a company specialising in integrated support for space operations, offering complete solutions for mission control and operational management in the dynamic context of New Space; and Cornes & Company Limited, a historic Japanese international trade company, today a reference point in the brokering and management of complex business relationships at global level.
The combination of the skills and capabilities of our professionals has resulted in promising prospects for collaboration with these prestigious entities. Soon, we will return to Japan to finalise the final stages of opening a new office in the country.
